Rabbi Zvi Aryeh BenZion b’R Yisrael Abba Rosenfeld (1922- 11th Kislev 5739/1978) was an accomplished Torah scholar and devoted Breslov chassid who shared his knowledge with students in ways that transformed their lives. With self-sacrifice and dedication, he introduced Breslov Chassidus to the English-speaking world. In 1945 Rabbi Rosenfeld received smicha (rabbinical ordination) from Rabbi Avraham Yoffen zal, Rosh (Director) of the Beis Yosef Novardok Yeshiva. In 1949 he received additional ordination from Rabbi Avrohom Sternhartz zal, the recognized leader of Breslover Chassidus in Eretz Yisrael and worldwide at that time. Rabbi Nasan Maimon was one of Rabbi Rosenfeld zal’s closest students and in 1976 became his son-in-law.
